District Office For Minority Affairs
The section acts as the nodal agency for Minority Affairs and Madrasah Education in the district. Implementation of schemes like MSDP, IMDP, Construction of Boundary Wall (Graveyard/Idgah etc) , Destitute Minority Women Rehabilitation, Construction of Minority Hostel ,MDW etc. is the Primary responsibility of the section. Implementation of different Scholarship schemes of WBMDFC is one of the most important function of this section and it is given top priority as this is the Flagship scheme of the MA & ME department. The newly launched scheme of Aiykyashree is being implemented through this section. Different loan schemes of WBMDFC including term loan and DLS for SHGs are implemented by this section in the district. Apart from this all the matter related to the Wakf Board including matters related to disbursement of honorarium of Imam/muezzin is handled by this section. All the enquiries forwarded by the wakf Board or the West Bengal Minorities Commission is enquired and action taken by this section. It acts as the nodal agency for SSK/MSK in the district. It is also the nodal agency regarding construction of Karmatirtha .
