District Planning Section
The Planning Section – Jalpaiguri formulates Annual Plan, DHDR and Five-year Plans under guidance of the Department of Planning & Statistics and in consultation with other Departments of the State Government. The Department coordinates and monitors implementation of the Annual Plans as well as the Five-Year Plans. The Directorate of Evaluation Manpower and Monitoring are all under the administrative control of the Department of Planning. The Department administers important schemes like Bidhayak Elaka Unnayan Prakalpa (BEUP) and Natural Resources Data Management System (NRDMS). This Department is also the nodal agency at State level for such nationally important scheme as Member of Parliament Local Area Development Scheme (MPLADS) & Border Area Development Programme (BADP), North Bengal Development Department (NBDD).
